The subsoil in the Netherlands still hides many UXO (Unexploded Ordenance), such as small calibre ammunition, hand grenades and bombs. When developing building projects and executing infrastructural works, these could put the safety of employees and the surrounding area at risk. It is therefore important to map out these UXO and find them before commencing the work.

Martens en Van Oord is certified to offer civil-engineering support for UXO clearance: we provide assistance in approaching and identifying. We have a WSCS-OCE System Certificate for Tracing Conventional Explosives, subarea B.

MvO has the civil-engineering expertise and collaborates with companies that have explosives expertise. In this way we have already completed many projects safely.
