Steel highway

Martens en Van Oord has almost 3000 steel road plates, which can be used to construct a road of almost 36 kilometres. This is because we want to execute our projects as sustainably as possible, and these road plates lower the rolling resistance, which leads to reduced gasoil consumption and reduced CO2 emissions.

• Almost 3000 steel road plates make sure that our lorries and dumpers can supply and remove materials in a much more sustainable manner. And that benefits our environment.
• The extra long and wide steel plates of 12 metres x 3.5 metres allow us to drive faster on unpaved terrain.
• Special attachments allow our excavators and shovels to load and unload materials more easily and more efficiently.

Apart from use at our own projects, these road plates are also available for hire.
